MANIFESTHOPE:DC was a gallery showing of the nation’s most diverse and talented visual artists, brought together under one roof to mark the historical election of Barack Obama. Alongside Shepard Fairey’s prominent work for this election stood stencil artist Stenzkull’s interpretation of my Barack Obama photograph from February of 2008 (Sigh… my work is always a bridesmaid, never a bride).
